Meet The GWI Team
We’re part of the industry in Oregon, not a sales office in AnyTown, USA. We offer a level of expertise you won’t find anywhere else. As a direct extension of the mill, you are working with a company that has mill experience and understands plywood from manufacturing through management. When you call GWI, anyone on our courteous staff may answer the phone, ready to respond to your questions, or direct you to the right person.  Every one of us is experienced, knowledgeable, and ready to assist with your product needs.

Cary Dovenberg
President and Owner

A native of Oregon, Cary literally “grew up” working in plywood mills and has an enviable production background. In the wood products industry since 1983, he has held positions in sales, purchasing, sales management, product development, quality control, and marketing. He was President of Greenwood Products before forming GWI.

Cary earned a Bachelor of Arts in Business from Southern Oregon University and holds certificates in Accounting and Financial Management.

Jim Dovenberg
Sales

A true veteran of the wood products industry, Jim founded Greenwood Forest Products in 1972, The business was sold in 2003.

Jim’ proficiency and knowledge of custom industrial wood products is acknowledged industry-wide. Today Jim’s focus is developing custom solutions, working with industrial customers and mills.

Kevin Barry
Sales

Kevin Barry began his wood products career in 1985, and has held the position of Plywood Mill Supervisor. Today, as an experienced industrial sales manager, his proficiency combines Account Management, Product Development, and Quality Control. Kevin’s expertise includes creating products for cut-to-size programs, supplying industrial imports, treated plywood, custom industrial panels, LVL, and laminated plywood to industrial users.

Kevin holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and a Masters Degree in Business Administration.

Dennis KruEger
Sales

With a wood products career that spans 35 years, Dennis has held positions as a buyer, seller, and program manager in commodity lumber, industrial plywood, imported hardwood lumber, and lumber futures sectors.

His experience and dedication brings a wealth of knowledge and resources to GWI. Dennis’ professional accomplishments have earned him the support of valued long time customers.

Specializing in offshore supply of hardwood kiln sticks for the last 25 years, Dennis is a seasoned traveler who has cultivated indispensable long term relationships with overseas mills.

Tom Faber
Sales and Logistics

Tom Faber’s career in the lamination and wood products industry began in 1984. Today he brings his knowledge of custom lamination to industrial users in a variety of areas including Marine, Agriculture and Transportation sectors, providing excellent account management.

As Traffic Manager, his expertise includes Rail, Flatbed, Van, Intermodal, and LTL.

Dolores Spacek
Treating Program Manager, Sales Support, Customer Service

Dolores’ career in the wood products industry began in 1994. Her background includes imports, dimensional lumber, LVL and plywood products. Currently she manages the treating programs at GWI and provides administrative support to the sales team. Direct customer contact, inventory control, order tracking, and coordinating shipments to ensure they arrive on time are among her responsibilities.

Dolores provides exemplary customer service to GWI customers and maintains excellent relationships with GWI mills, treating facilities and warehouses.

Dawn Ekerson
Customer Service, Office Management and Accounting

A native of Oregon, Dawn’s professional career includes extensive experience in Office Administration. Since 1978, she has held positions in customer service, office management, and accounting. With Dawn’s superior knowledge of Imports, Exports and the wood products industry, she provides GWI’s clients with courteous and knowledgeable customer service.

Jackie Paolo
Sales Support and Customer Service

One of the friendly voices you hear when calling GWI belongs to Jackie Paolo. Jackie manages inventories nationwide and supports industrial sales. Her experience includes importing commodity products from overseas for the past ten years. Bridging language and time zone gaps to communicate effectively with overseas clients has served Jackie well. Her polite and courteous manner and outstanding customer service provides GWI clients with the answers and support they need.
